Tamiya 1/12 Kawasaki Ninja H2 Carbon
As it was a beautiful sunny morning I wheeled out the Ninja for a photo session.
Tamiya released this kit a couple of years ago. This is their description of the bike taken from their website www. tamiya.com.
And this is how they describe the kit:
Like all of their recent kits it goes together well as long as you follow the instructions.
I apologise for not taking any in progress pictures. I painted it in Tamiya Gun Metal with the frame and stand in Candy Lime Green. The exhaust silencer, a big feature of this model, comes ready chromed. Here's a picture of the transfers and painting masks:
Here are a couple more pictures taken outside this morning:
And here's some detail of the brake assemblies:
And here's a picture of the box art:
Hope you like it, thanks for looking, any questions please ask.
As always Happy Modelling.
An amazing model of n equally amazing motorcycle, George!
Looks gorgeous under the morning sun!
Thanks, Spiros @fiveten, I wish I was young enough to ride one of these magnificent machines.
I wish you will find a chance to ride one of these fabulous machines, my friend @chinesegeorge! I am sure you will sort out your pace!
Beautiful!
Thank you, Michel @michel-Verschuere.
Nice bike George... love the green frame!
Cheers, Rory @rory, that green is definitely a Kawasaki colour.
Great model, hot machine. I get a kick out of those massive front brake rotors. My first bike was a '66 Honda 305 "scrambler", had drum brakes you had to apply 300 yards before the stop lights. Also that 'lil chain...all that power through that chain? Some things don't change.
Thanks, Bill @billkoppos, yes, those new brakes are impressive. The first cars I drove had drum brakes front and rear, they hardly worked at all in reverse, it was a different world then.
Really beautiful build, George @chinesegeorge
What an impressive silencer this bike has.
Thanks John @john , impressive yes, but it still makes a lovely sound.
Amazing finish on this one George ,really nice job ,well done.
Thanks, Neil @neil-foster, I’m sure there’s something in the iModeler works that helps with the pictures. Are you still muted by you know who by the way?
To be honest George after the arrival TKS and the general upset he has caused I decided life is too short for falling out over silly comments so I want to build bridges and after all TC and I are probably amongst the longest serving members here on iModeller...
Simply an outstanding job! Never seen anything like it. Congratulations!
Thanks for your kind comment, Emmet @bmolloy.
Are you sure this isn't a photo of the real thing? Nice!
Thanks, Robert @roofrat, the background is real even if the bike isn’t.
