Nu Nu BMW M6 GT3, 1/24
Just to prove that I don't just do motorcycles these days, here's Model Nu Nu's 1/24 kit of the BMW M6 GT3.
Nu Nu are fairly new on the scene, they are based in Macau, but seem to be part of the Aoshima group.
I think that the BMW M6 was their first kit and they've since issued a few different versions.
It's a kerbside kit, with no engine detail, but if you add on their Detail Up Accessory pack you get a fully detailed interior.
This does push up the price though. This version raced at Monza in 2016, I rather like the traditional BMW colour scheme.
The kit goes together very well although I found the instructions a little vague in places, but that was probably just me.
As well some reissues, Nu Nu have also released a couple of recent GT cars including the Audi A8 and the BMW M8, and I see that a Porsche 911 GT3 in Pink Pig colours is due for release later this year.
Their range is worth a look if you are a sports or rally car fan.
@martin @techsupport, you'll be pleased that I posted this article with no apparent problems, thanks again for your hard work.
Thanks for looking and happy modelling.
Hi Bernard @Lis, the locals here call BMWs “Bombers”, does that mean I can join your group build?
Great BMW, George @chinesegeorge
Those cars do indeed look best in their traditional color scheme.
Thank you very much John @johnb, you must be up very early.
Amazing result, George, up to your usual standards! The GT3 M6 is such a beautiful car. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Spiros @fiveten, you’re right, BMWs are popular here but very expensive, and the Chinese don’t seem to like two door coupes, they prefer the four door saloons with a long wheelbase, and, of course, the SUVs.
@chinesegeorge, got up at 6:30am this morning, not too bad.
I'm not into a cars (excludes US ARMY Jeep and Chevrolet 4x4 LRDG), but your car turned out great!
Thanks @Lis, appreciate you looking.
That looks VERY nice George @Chinesegeorge. I’ll have to look into these Nu Nu kits.
Thanks, Eric @eb801, they certainly do some attractive cars.
That's a very realistic model, @Chinesegeorge. Pose it well outside, and you could fool the crowd that it was a real one. Excellent work.
Cheers, Tom @tcinla, the thing is that we know that they are only models, when I show the pictures to people here who don’t know about this marvelous hobby, they assume they are real, ha ha.
A superb rendition sir TC's right, it does look like the genuine article
Thank you very much, Mark @markh.
Very nice work George. I've got the same kit but with the PlayStation livery in blue.
I've read a few articles where a problem was found with the air scoop on the bonnet. It was commented that the plastic part should be attached to the bonnet rather than the suggested location on the floor of the chassis. Did you find a similar problem?
Hi Michael @mickdrover, thanks for looking and your kind comments. I don’t remember having a problem with the air scoop. It’s cemented to the floor and fits under the bonnet when the body assembly Is completed. Looking forward to seeing your version here very soon, I’m sure you’ll enjoy building it. Happy modelling.
Great Build George, I've heard the NuNu kits can be tricky but looks like you had no issues, brilliant work.
