BoB Hurricane I 1/48 Hasegawa 238 Squadron-

December 22, 2022 · in Aviation · · 18 Comments

First model in a very long time. At least 10 years. All my old testors enamels were dried up so I used AK real colors. Very easy to work with. Decals are from different sheets, different companies. Did splurge on the quick boost head rest fix - very quick and easy. Kit has the issues well described elsewhere but really does look fine when completed. Wanted a classic BoB Hurricane that was not usually depicted so picked 238 sq. Hope you enjoy it.

  1. Amazing job, Christian! What a comeback! Welcome aboard!

  2. VERY good job on that old POS. Nah nothing wrong with the Hasegawa Hurri. Yours turned out nice and sharp, hit all the bases. And 238 was a good choice.

  3. Very nice build. I'm going to have to try an airplane kit again someday.

  4. That turned out excellently !

  5. Welcome back! Some things have changed in the hobby, even just in the last ten years. Dont be a stranger, and great build! Looking forward to seeing more.

  6. An amazing entry to this site, Christian @sdbuckerflight
You have not forgotten how to build a model after all those years.

  8. Excellent build Christian!

  9. Beautiful Hurricane! Welcome back, Christian.

  10. Now there is a Hurricane you write home about. I think one of the toughest color schemes to get right are BoB aircraft. Getting the greens, browns and underside colors to have the right amount of fading and grunge is an art form.

Had to smash the like button Christian. The only choice.

  11. Well done Christian, and welcome back. Just like riding a bike one really doesn't forget the how to. Good job on this BoB build.

  12. See? It is like riding a bicycle!

Nice result with the old Hasegawa kit. I like this a lot.

  13. She's a 'beaut' Christian. Great choice or starting your comeback.
