1/35 Tamiya KV-1
My latest build, Tamiya new (ish) KV-1 Model 1941. I added resin fuel tanks, resin bedrolls, and some tarps made out of Milliput. For the basecoat I used a mix of Tamiya's acrylics that I got from an old 1/48 KV-2 article written by Marcus Nicholls from Tamiya Model Magazine #137! I knew that old pile of magazines would come in handy...Thanks for looking, for more photos please check out my website at http://www.lylesmodels.com
Excellent result, Scott! Happy New Year!
Great looking armor, Scott @slyle
Very nice result on the painting and weathering.
The extras you fitted plus the weathered finish make for a great looking tank. I never throw old magazines away.
I really like the paintwork and weathering on this. Excellent work.
Great work !
Beautiful work @slyle! 👍 That is a great looking tank model, and your extras add just the right tough! 🍻
That weathering is extra tasty!
Thanks all! It's a big tank, it dwarfs the Panzer IIs and IIIs on my display shelf..
Nice job on this beast.
Oooooooo she's hot. That is one hell of a finish job. The streaking and dust and fading are done to perfection.
All these years and I never thought to drag down some white from the slogan, which were chalked on in most cases. Great touch. An outstanding KV all the way.
Thanks Bill. I never would have thought of the streaking from the slogan either but I noticed it in this picture:
