Awful kit!
Lots of flash++
Mould step
Cowling no where near correct...should be closer to the fuselage. Not possible to move forward as the rear upper lip would have to go and it would have risen up into the path of the machine guns on this kit.
Rear wings and tailplane have no secure location lugs.
Never seen such a short pair of undercarriage legs...
SMS German Brown as a base coat. However, this was prone to lifting off the primer in a couple of small areas.
Master Barrel guns in brass as the kit supplied guns were indistinguishable from the sprue...๐คจ
Oil paint and ink weathering
Absolutely superb result, a triumph over this challenging kit, David!
A challenging build but with great outcome, David @mentaldental
I don't know why it's so hard for the mfr's to get this airplane right, but no one has yet. Still a good result.
I'm going to try one of the SH 1:32 in the near future ๐ค๐ผ
Magnifico!
Regardless of the problems with the kit, the finish on this is excellent - well done!
Jeepers David @mentaldental - if this is what you do with a rubbish kit I'd love to see you build a nice one. This is absolutely brilliant - well done.
Hi David. The comments by Anthony gave me a chuckle, but he's right. Your efforts to successfully overcome a rash of problems speaks volumes for your skills; especially with the airbrush. You have a magic touch!
