A Small Vignette
Being pleased with the way my Monogram Hawker Typhoon turned out and being even more pleased with all the compliments it received, I decided my "Tiffie" deserved to be put in a vignette. Nothing elaborate, just something simple to further enhance the build. The only problem I had was finding an appropriate figure. Originally I wanted a figure that would be climbing into the cockpit. Airfix and ICM both make an excellent RAF figure climbing into the cockpit. However, those figures are meant for Spitfires and Hurricanes which are boarded from the port side, whereas the Typhoon is boarded from the starboard side, so, in short, that idea was a no go. I had looked at other RAF pilot figures that I had, and although very nice, they did not capture what it was I was looking for. Finally, while attending Replicon 31, I came across a figure from a company called Djiti's Production. Looking at it through the packaging, I couldn't tell if it was any good or not but, for an asking price of $8.00 American, I figured I would take a chance. Very happy that I did! The figure is beautifully sculpted and perfectly posed. So here is my Typhoon vignette. All comments and critiques welcome.
That is beautiful, what a great job on a classic kit!

I nice setting for the handsome Typhoon! Well done.
Seamus, you have proven, along with others, that there is a lot of life left in those βoldβ Monogram kits. Super job. I really enjoyed viewing your work on the Typhoon.
Lovely work Seamus!
Awesome Typhoon!
