Amazing job, Martin!
many thanks, Spiros.
Very cool. A rarely built aircraft
many thanks, George.
Looks like a good conversion, Martin.
many thanks, George.
The Cutlass has always been one my favorite aircraft. Not very successful, but eat looking. I wish we could get one in 1/32. Unfortunately I missed getting the resin kit when I should have. Nice work on the Hobbycraft kit.
many thanks, Steve.
I have always thought of the Cutlass as a monument to just how far the Navy was willing to go in the 1950’s to maximize the carrier utility of the jet aircraft. You certainly maximized that Hobbycraft kit. Super job! Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you , Matt.
I’ve always regarded the Cutlass as a bit of an awkward jet.
But now I’ve seen your rendition I think I’m beginning to love it.
Awesome job, Martin! @matra
Thank you, Alfred.
I actually saw one of these fly at the Navy Day event at NAS Buckley field (Buckley NG base since 1958) in Denver in 1955. When he made a low speed fly by down the crowd line with the nose at about a 35-degree AOA, that was truly amazing.
You have definitely gotten the most out of what is in the box with this model.
Thank you,Tom.
A new kit would be nice.
A not so often seen build of this special aircraft, Martin @matra
Well done.
Thank you, John.
Fantastic work! I built that Hobbycraft kit years ago, so I know how much work goes into getting a decent model to of it. Your build looks great. I missed out on getting the Collect-Aire conversion, but I did get the Lone Star resin cockpit set, along with a resin corrected nose from Cat 4 that I'll use on another Hobbycraft Cutlass I have in the stash.
Thank you, Drew.
New air intakes, new nose and Squadron's vaccucanopy will suffice. The collect aire is too much hassle and bad vaccucanopy.
Very nice! Such an odd-looking aircraft. You did a great job with a HobbyCraft kit!
Thank you , Greg.
Nice work! When I think of the Cutlass I am somehow reminded of this image.

Thank you ,Robert.
Great work Martin @matra, this is quite an inspiration for those looking to build this kit someday, myself included.
