Star Wars: Galactic Empire- TIE Interceptor (1:90)

The TIE fighters have always been one of my favorites in the genre.
Even if I prefer the classic ones, I have opted for the slightly more "sporty" looking variant.
This is actually my Tie second fighter, the first one was still made of Lego.
And it's also my first trip into space 🙂
Hopefully my interpretation can convince...

I made the base myself from glass.
It consists of five seperat parts, which were printed on the back by means of digital printing, glued together by a special UV bonding technic which then sanded and polished the edges accordingly.

A nice kit (, ) for quick building and good opportunities for painting.
The fit of the parts was perfect and there wasn´t too much to clean on the parts.
The kit was built directly out of the box without conversions or anything else.

    "Here they come!"

I like TIE-series fighters too, and the Interceptor is a favorite. Interceptors made quite an impression in "Return of the Jedi", and your model is an excellent replica.

  5. Great modelling and presentation Simon. Looks great 👍

  6. I’ve never watched Star Wars but this looks cool.

  7. Very nice job. Looks as if it could be used in the movie, though I guess everything uses CGI these days.

I've always wondered if Lucas used a rear differential from an old truck as a starting point for the tie fighter design.

  8. Exquisite paint work on this TIE. Probably more detailed than the ILM versions. Love the base as well. Thanks for sharing!

  9. Very nicely done!

  10. Thaks for all your nice comments my friends! 😁
