Dead Forest Find

August 31, 2023 · in Diorama · · 20 · 406

Working on this diorama has been a pleasure. Trying mew weathering techniques have also yielded good results without spending am arm or a leg on many weathering solutions( although, they help beginners). Hope you all like the results of this build.

  1. Great work, I get the impression the Land Rover is posing for the photographer.

  2. Fantastic diorama, Charles!

  3. That is definitely one of your more amazing dioramas, Charles. They're all good, but some are More Good, like this one. That is one clapped-out wreck.

  4. When I look at a diorama, I like to "study it" for a while. To be able to notice all the subtlety of it. The broken rear glass, the moldy leaves on the rooftop, the mis-matched body panels, and the shopping cart with the thing for the quarter and small chain attached (must be from Aldi's). Altogether, this adds up to one amazing diorama. Great effort!

  5. Very cool, Charles! I like the back door window safety glass depiction.

  6. Ditto what everyone else said, so much detail packed in, two things I would like to know ,more about the Landrover kit ,scale and maker and where on Earth did you source the shopping trolley ?.
    Amazing work Charles.

    • Hello Neil. Glad that you like the results. The scale is 1/35, and it's a new kit from AK-Interactive. It's the Land Rover 88 series IIa model. The shopping cart, I believe, is from Royal mode. It is a metal kit.

  7. Another excellent diorama, Charles @tiking
Each time I think you cannot improve further but the next one again is better.
So much detail like mentioned by all above comments.
The plastic chair, did you create that one yourself as well.

  8. superb dio - as always. Just one little detail: the tyres seem to new/too glossy for that rusty old Landrover.

  9. Nice very nice. Weathering on the windows look great and all the fine details mentioned above. Is this the AK kit or Italeri ?
