Vickers Wellngton Ic 304 (Polish) Squadron RAF. Airfix 1:72.

Undoubtedly, I was inspired to build this model by Janusz Meissner's book entitled "Genowefa's Sting". I have no idea if it was ever published as an English version, but I consider it one of the most important books that shaped my interest in aviation. The author describes his experiences from the beginning of the Defensive War in 1939, through the escape through Romania, Turkey, Morocco, to England. There he is assigned to a bomber squadron flying a "G" plane like Genowefa. He was a book stinger as the rear turret gunner. One of the important chapters was memories of the so-called "low war" or service in Costall Command. Where Wellington crews patrolled the Atlantic and mined ports occupied by Nazi Germany. So this book inspired a model based on the excellent Airfix kit. This is without a doubt the best model I have built so far. The exceptionally rich interior makes it possible to recreate it with great attention to detail. I invite you to familiarize yourself with the video presentation and a short film, which is created accidentally. Lieutenant Fox will return with another strong project.
