1/32 Fw 190 F-8 Revell 04869
This is my Fw 190 F-8 which I recently finished. A nice kit, certainly for its price. I build it mostly out of the box, and only added refinements from scratch plastic and different types of wire, and control surfaces decals from HGW. The most difficult part was the front which is made up of seperate panels. According to the instructions these should be build around the engine, a recipe for fit problems. As I didn't want open panels anyway, I first glued all the panels tightly together, then slid the engine in. This required some surgery on the engine but it can hardly be seen anyway.
The kit guns are useless, so I scratched the wing guns from Evergreen rod and replaced the fuselage guns with items from the spares box.
Painting was done with Gunze Aqueous RLM colors. I lightened the camouflage colors with off-white a bit first, and I really like the result. Markings are a mixture of the kit decals, some Airscale items and masking stencils for the german crosses. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
Your extras have made a lot of difference, Erik.
Well done, Erik. Always like to see a great looking 190.
Excellent looking Fw-190, Erik!
Wow. That's a beautiful piece of work. Everything from paint to details just right. Great pics
too especially the close ups.
I really like this F-8, especially painting is spot on.
Superb result, Erik @erikvkok
