PBY 1/48 in flight...over the bar
This is the venerable Revell-Monogram 1/48 PBY-5 kit. A very nice kit from 1995. The tooling & fit is great for this era and the size of this built up is rather large and impressive! Hats off to the moldings! ALl Ia dded was a few crew figures and employed Prop Blur for an 'in flight' display. I solved my dwindling real estate display problem by hanging this one over my bar.
Thanks
Steve,
Very cool looking cat ! You did a very nice job on this model.
Well done. Built the amphibian version a few years ago and it is also a dangler
Looks cool up there! ๐ Great job on that classic! ๐
Cool Cat, and nice job on the figures! Yup, hanging those biggies from the ceiling solves some real estate problems.
A nice way to display some of your models, hang them over the bar! Good stuff.
Amazing Catalina, Steven @sjcorvi
Let's hope it will not be captured by that large sharkmouth.
Very nice work @sjcorvi. Good inspiration. I have one I am going to finally use the decals I've been keeping to do the Catalina I that found the Bismarck.
Superbly done, Steven!
Great model, mineโs a pint of best bitter.
that's a great-looking Cat, and I always prefer seeing them in-flight! Great work.
Thanks everyone IT really is a nice build and more should be built!.
I know they are a bit awkward and big once built up! Hope to see some of yours in the future!
Steve
Have only just seen this, what a great job together with the way you have displayed it, very impressive. I hope you were able to save the downed flier from megamouth, although a megamouth surely would have morphed out of a great white not a tiger shark.
