Dragon 1/72 Heinkel He 219A-7
Some 30 years back, I built this Heinkel and brush painted the blotches. Recently, I repainted the model with an airbrush to give it the face that it deserves. The model is very good, but Tamiya's 1/48th Heinkel offers much more to explore.
Very nice repainting, Rafi @blackmopane
The Uhu is a beautiful aircraft, it is still on my wishlist but in my prefered scale 1/48 it will be too big.
I think 1/72 is the perfect scale for this aircraft.
Thank you John.
Dragon's model is very good and you will enjoy the build.
Looks awesome, Rafi!
The painting is really superb, you have absolutely nailed the distinctive Uhu pattern.
Congratulations!
Thank you Spiros!
Outstanding work on that camouflage pattern! Did you have to add any weight to the nose during the build? Very nice, Rafi.
Thank you John.
It is a tail heavy model that requires weight.
Very nice, Rafi. Excellent camo work. From the photos, your build could easily pass for 1/48.
Always thought the He 219 looked menacing, but the front radar array takes it to another notch.
Thank you George!
Very nice model Rafi, and excellent (re)painting. This really rises bar with my He-219 1/32 kit under work...
Thank you Jarmo.
I look forward to see your Heinkel here.
Great work on a great camouflage pattern.
Thank you John.
Nice work, Rafi. I built one of those back in ‘92 or ‘93 too.
Thank you John.
The golden Dragon days..
Nice build, that's some fine paintwork!
Thank you Chas!
Great rewind! Well done..
Thank you Chas!
Nicely done Rafi.
Thank you Allan.
Nicely brought up to date, Rafi.
Thank you George.
Beautifully done! Although that nose/canopy area looks a tad bulbous in profile view, the Uhu is one of the most elegant in planform view of all WWII aircraft IMHO. I think I have this same kit in the stash - why I haven't built it yet I don't know...!
Thank you Greg!
