V-1 or Fieseler Fi103 (Tamiya 1/48)
A well known kit of the V-1 from Tamiya in 1/48. It's not a new kit in any sense of the word, but it's still pretty decent. I bought it for a quick, relaxing build, but it was waiting for me for a couple of months. Mostly it was waiting for my new glasses. Unfortunately, the time for glasses has come.
I was not sure about the colour references Tamiya included in the instructions for the V-1 itself. And there was no colour reference for the cart either. After some reading I decided to use the RLM65/71 scheme for the rocket and Panzer Grey for the cart.
Your building quality did not suffer because of your new glasses, Dmitry @starfar
To me the colors used are very plausible.
Another great build.
Thank you, John!
That looks very good @starfar.
@tcinla Thanks, Tom!
Awesome. Built one years ago. The kit cost me a dollar per part. I cheated on the mottles using decal film printed from Paint.net
Thank you George! I've decided to go without mottling, just with two-color scheme for my build. And yeah, the kit was pretty cheap.
Great subject matter. Awesome result.
Thanks John!
Excellent job on the classic Tamiya kit, Dmitry!
Thank you Spiros!
Nicely done, Dmitry!
Thanks Gary!
Very neat work.
Thanks George!
Nice paintwork and great build.
Thanks Jarmo!
Very nice, the Military Avation Museum in Virginia Beach Virginia has a real V-1 as you walk in the main entrance and I can tell you your rendition certainly looks the part! Great job. As for glasses, I have so many pairs of magnifiers it's not funny.
Thank you Clint! I've check the photos from the museum - a lot of cool stuff there! The Cottbus hangar especially.
Great job! I wish I had your skill when I built my buzzbomb!
Thank you Keith!
Very nice! That looks like a relaxing build...
It was! Thanks Greg!
