It’s finally here ! ICM 1/48 scale Ki-21 “Sally” kit number 48195

This is a model that I have been waiting for every since I first heard about it becoming a reality.
I pre ordered it from Squadron Mail Order when they announced it would be available for pre order purchase. The anticipation was great.
I received an email from Brandon stating they were getting their shipment soon, and that it was in transit across the ocean. Now I'm really stoked !
Unfortunately I got another email a few days later that said the US Customs officials have placed a hold on the shipping container and there was going to be a delay. I'm sincerely grateful that this email was sent because I would have been very concerned otherwise.
Once Brandon got these in his shop he was shipping them out as fast as possible. So if you have one of these on order you should be receiving it very soon.

Chances are very good that you will see a build review coming up right behind that as part of our Empire of Japan group.
Part of the reason why I had a delay in getting my Sally is because I had also had pre ordered a 1/48 scale Dora Wings P-47B.
With everything going on in today's world I feel like we are blessed to have such fantastic products that are available for us.
Both seem wonderful kits, Louis! Excellent that you got them, looking forward to the Sally review (and build!).

From the boxart I would say that the Sally is flying next to mount Fuji.

Thank you for your comments. I think your thoughts on the illustration are spot on the money. It looks like it is supposed to be Mount Fuji to me too. I just posted the complete kit review, and I have also started a brand new build journal for it.
Hopefully I can get our house project wrapped up soon, and get busy with this one. I have been looking towards this for a while now.
Do be sure to read my review on the P-47B and you will have a fun time building it.

This kit looks every bit as good as I had hoped for. I just posted a review showing the parts included in the box.
Your B-26 should be hot on the heels of this one.
