New stash for 2024
Hey everyone.
I hope you're all enjoying a well deserved break from the norm and for those who may celebrate, I hope you're having a great Christmas with your families and loved ones. May you all have the best 2024!
After being spoiled this Christmas, I'm excited to share with you what's in store these next 6 or 9 months or so:
Airfix 1/48 Hawker Hurricane MkI. Going to finish this one in the alternate markings (Flight Lieutenant Ian Richard Gleed {Widge}) No.87 Squadron. S/N AL K.
Hobby Boss 1/48 McDonald Douglas Hornet F/A18C. Doing this one in the alternative mark up as it will be armed. Picture shown.
Tamiya 1/48 Lockheed Martin F35A Lightning II. Going to finish this one with the Australian RAAF markings. Especially looking forward to this one!
O and of course the Lego Technic F1 McLaren MCL35 Well it's a model of sorts! Loving this kit. A mammoth Lego kit.
Can't wait to get started, and I will most likely begin with the Hurricane.
So what's in store for you guys and girls in the new year? Do tell
Happy modeling everyone
That looks like a great haul. You're going to love the Hurricane kit for sure. there pretty nice kits. I can't wait to see what you do with them.
Yeah I'm really looking forward to the Hurricane mate. Just spent a few hours going through the Airfix paint codes for this kit and converting them to Tamiya acrylic's equivalents. I'm happy now that I know what I'm doing
Cheers Clint (@curtisshawk)
That's an awesome stash, Scott! Looking forward to them!
Wishing You and Yours a Happy, Prosperous 2024!
Thank you mate. From my place to your place, wishing you and your family a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year Spiros (@fiveten)
Superb Christmas gifts, Scott @scottiya
We do have this McLaren standing here and it is indeed huge, build by my daughter who is a big fan of Lando Norris
Happy New Year
That’s awesome and Happy New Year John (@johnb)
Nice lineup, Scott! I'm off this week, making good progress on a 1/35 Meng AH-64D Apache helicopter, finishing up decals then the best part (IMO) - weathering, wash, highlights, and final detailing. Then it's on to a 1/48 Meng F-4E Phantom and 1/32 Hasegawa P-51D Mustang that I scored on sale.
Cheers, here's to a healthy and successful 2024!
Noice Joe @jroamer.
Have heaps of fun with your Apache, Phantom and Mustang

Cheers mate and a happy new year full of health and happiness to you and your crew.
Looks like you got lucky with Santa there, Scott, looking forward to seeing them built in 2024.
Did you get your Fiat George @chinesegeorge ?

No such luck, Scott @scottiya, Christmas doesn’t happen here, I’ll probably have to wait until Chinese new year.
Nice haul, Scott! Santa’s little helper left this FM-1 under the tree for me. She also stated that a portly, British, seabird in a red Airfix box didn’t make it on time for Christmas but is winging its way to our door

That’s cool John @j-healy
Looking forward to seeing what you do with your Wildcat!
What’s your seabird? Too many to guess other than it’s possibly a Fleet Air Arm bird

Gannet inbound. Really looking forward to it.
Noice
Looks good Scott
how many parts in the Lego kit Scott. My wife's into Lego her biggest build is the Titanic 9090 parts
Hey Guy. Wow
9090!

@thom
The McLaren only has 4032 parts
That is some box art for the Lightning II, and I am sure the kit quality will be equally as good. The Hurricane is always a favorite of mine. Like John, my Christmas is deferred. After reading the review of the Halberd Mustang I, (curses you Chateau du Chat Baron!) I ordered one. I had been blissfully ignorant of Halberd kits and was waiting out the release of Eduard’s P-51B.
Hey Russell @russjurco.
I must admit I’m unfamiliar with Halberd kits! So they’re good? Worth looking at? I’m yet to try an Eduard kit. They look like they’re very good.
Check out Tom Cleaver’s review of the Halberd Mustang I right here on iModeler. I was sold on it immediately. I also checked out Halberd’s web site and the photos of the parts only confirmed the quality of the kit. Eduard’s kits are sensational. The delicate small parts can be daunting but you should try one. The Spitfire Ia is right up your alley.
Seems you are having a very good start for this new coming year on this great hobby Scott.
Really enjoy these and do post them, it will be a pleasure to see them.
Hey @de4ever,
I can’t wait to get started on them. It’d be a pleasure to share with the group the end results.
Those are some fine kits awaiting your talented hands. Hope the new year brings you good health and happiness. Cheers! @scottiya
Thank you mate. Wishing you great health and happiness for 2024 too John @jdtruby
