Pfalz D XII, (early) Special Hobby, 1:48, Lt. Ludwig Maerchner, Jasta 77b
The kit from Special Hobby is again of decent quality, only the cockpit is made in a very simplified scheme. Also added details of the cockpit, part of the pipe in the opening of the radiator and a few other small things. Struts need to be adjusted, because the upper wing is very difficult to install, due to the slightly longer struts. Used turnbuckles from Eduard. Otherwise, quite a problem-free construction in other parts. Thank you for watching.
Regarding the pilot, I have not been able to get any information.
Top notch Milan. Beautiful build. I really like the Pfalz airplanes. I always ment to pick up o.e of the WNW kits but never got the chance. Maybe I'll have to check out one of these instead.
Thanks Clint, Pfalz from WNW is really hard to come by these days. I was recently offered one, but the asking price was downright astronomical for me. I still plan to build a later version from the same manufacturer.
Another great build, Milan @milantesar
What kind of turnbuckles did you use for the rigging?
Thank you John. I used slightly modified turnbuckles from Eduard.
Great looking build, Milan! @milantesar
Thank you John.
Being familiar with the deficiencies of this kit from having built one, I can say you have done a lot of very good work here to get such a nice result.
You might look for the Blue Max Pfalz D.XII, which makes up into a nice model; my personal feeling was it was better than this.
Thank you Tom. Yes, I originally wanted to build this type from Blue Max, but since I couldn't get this kit, I had to settle for a kit from Special Hobby.

Nice and respectable modeling Milan.
The rigging is very well done.
Thank you.
Awesome result out of the definitely challenging SH kit, Milan!
A winner!
Thank you Spiros.
Another well-done WWI aircraft!
Thank you Greg.
