*DECLASSIFIED*

January 13, 2024 · in Diorama · · 14 · 251

Recently declassified German Military files have revealed that after their staggering defeat on the planet of Endor, Darth Vader approved the sale of his remaining AT-ST's to the German Army in early 1944 at a heavily discounted price. A specialist German Armoured Battalion named 'Armoured Troop XZ' took receipt of the AT-ST's and commenced training with them in 'Top Secret' that August. However their entry into the war was too little and too late to turn the tide of defeat for Germany. Though their existence has now been declassified, the exact extent to which they were used in battle (if at all) and if so, where? is still shrouded in secrecy. It is rumored one was possibly obtained/captured by the Americans in the final days of the war and is still in storage in an old disused hanger at 'Area 51'. However "official" documents report that all were destroyed and buried at an undisclosed location by german troops before the allies could get their hands on them.

Here I have depicted a refueling/recharging of an AT-ST by a Kfz. 385 Tankwagen during early field trials. I have used the 1/48th scale Bandai AT-ST and Italeri Tankwagen.

Please note: As there are no known photos of the AT-ST's of Armoured Group XZ, I have used 'poetic licence' in the colour scheme and markings for this model.

  5. Great work on this fun diorama!

  6. Hmmm the folks who run "Crush the Resistance" failed and they sold the AT-ST's to the bad guy's. Who lost the war. Which makes one wonder what's being held in Area 51. The " Truth" is out there and George knows the answers. Looks like a fun build Carl. The painting on the kits is superb and the back story adds to the interest.
Now onto the Jellyfish UAP . . . who makes a kit?

  7. This is really imaginative and creative. I like it a lot.

  8. Cool idea, Carl (@carlpud). And well executed.

  9. I love this. Mixing the Star Wars universe with history is a fun direction. I finished a snow speeder in allied invasion stripes, but never posted it.

    Thanks for sharing.

  10. Very creative and nicely built & painted

  11. That's some great imagination! Cool stuff. @carlpud

  12. Love it! Why do I believe that if it was possible, this scenario could have happened! I'm sure the desperate German high command would have if they could have, by 1944.
