Republic P-43 Lancer. Dora Wings 1/48
New Year, New Build
My first go at a Dora Wings kit. It has it's pros and cons. Cons: Excessive sprue attachments and flash. Lots of test fitting. Had to grind down a few parts to get proper fit. Instructions were not great to say the least.
Pros: Surface detail very nice and excellent decals.

Dora Wings kits are a mixed bag, but subject choices are excellent.

I've always liked the P-43 Lancer. I spent a considerable amount of effort building the old Classic Airframes kit back in 2000 and I can tell you that the Dora Wings kit is light years ahead of the CA kit. Nonetheless, this looks fantastic Russ. Very nice job. I was thinking of doing this same scheme whenever I get around to my Dora Wings kit.
Nice job! Definitely a must have kit in the P-47 family of aircraft.
