ICM 1/48 B-26B Marudaer Instructions Video

March 26, 2024 · in News · · 11 · 372

For ICM's just released B-26B Marauder. It certainly has a higher parts count than the Monogram kit as it looks like the whole kitchen sink was thrown into the tail detail wise. Individual guns in each side blister? And those engines.

Can't wait to see one built now.

P.S. Dear ICM, can we now please have a short wing Marauder?

  1. Mine's on the way from Squadron. Fortunately I have all the decal sheets for the B-26 from Cutting Edge still in the decal dungeon. So lots of choices.

  2. Thanks for posting this, David (@kahu). I have my eye on this one. I have build a couple of the Monogram kits, but this looks next level.

  3. I really do like how ICM does these videos pre-release. They dont speak to fit or finish much, but they really lay plain what level of detail one might expect out of the box.

Definitely some interesting engineering decisions made with the smaller part assemblies, and main landing gear bays (not all bad of course)... will probably be offputting to some, but I'd welcome the prospect.

  4. Thanks for sharing this, David!

  5. Looking forward to getting mine this week from Squadron. I have the Monogram/Pro Modeler kit in the stash, this one has the resin bits in the kit. So ready to compare when the ICM kit arrives. Thank you Brandon Lowe...

A very clear instruction of what seems like a wonderful kit.

  7. Very tempting. I've never built a Marauder. Thanks for sharing.

  8. Thanks for posting that video. I hope the parts fit as well as they do in that CAD generated assembly. ICM has had plenty of time to get dial in this Marauder correctly so there's little excuse for any potential short comings. I'm going to wait and see what the final verdict is.

  9. This model is tempting to buy. Then I remember I have two Monogram Marauders in stash with aftermarket parts and Cutting Edge decals.

Still can't wait to see how the ICM one turns out.

  10. This is the first time I've seen one of these ICM videos. I hope it catches on with other companies as well. It is very clear and concise, and would certainly complement the instruction sheet in the kit, should you have any issues as to where certain parts should go. The kit itself looks really good.
