Kinetic 1/48 S-2E Tracker
Kinetics Tracker is a complex build of an unusual subject. The model is better built with the wings folded. Beyond the space saved in the display area, the compact model is more dynamic looking sine it reveals the underwing stores and represents much of the intensity of the Navy's character. No weight was added to the extremely tail-heavy model. Instead, the arresting hook was lowered to ground level. In addition, I inserted an electric bulb to the large space oddly left empty by Kinetic of the search light interior.
Mighty nice work, Rafi @blackmopane! π She looks great! π
Thank you Gary!
Wow! Having done one of these and folded the wings like you did, I gotta say this one's a stunner. Very realistic!
(Mine took that heckuva lotta weight you knew it would)

Thank you Tom.
It may well be that your review helped me to do the shortcuts required to achieve a quiet build.π..
Glad to help!
Clever idea for the searchlight (noted!) on a very tidy looking build, as always Rafi. Still undecided on how to represent mine's wings when the time come, but you present a strong case for stowed away... π
Thank you Andrew.
A second kit with lessons of the first build is my solution π
Excellent build of a distinctively looking bird, Rafi! Looks stunning and totally realistic!
Thank you Spiros!
I think youβre right about the wing fold option, Rafi, it adds interest, and, like the real thing, it saves space.
Yet, many of my folded wings models are variations to the theme. So much for space saving...
A not so often seen modeled subject, certainly not looking this perfect, Rafi @blackmopane
I do like it with the wings folded, makes it indeed look more dynamic.
Well done.
Thank you John!
Excellent build of the Tracker.
Thank you Dan.
Stunning! The use of the lightbulb is -ha ha- is a brilliant idea, Rafi @blackmopane.
Thank you Eric.
A great looking build!
Thank you Robert!
Cleaver use of the tail hook. Well done!
