Sino-Japanese War...1/48 Polikarpov I-16 Type 10, Chinese Nationalist Airforce


The second of three my dad finished since the new year started.
kit, decals are a mix of and , painted with AK RC AII Green and Blue.
Used 0,4mm plastic rods for the landing gear retraction cables.

After the signing of the Sino-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact on 21 August 1937, 216 I-16 fighter of various types were supplied to the Air Force. The most numerous among them was the .

Aircraft of 24th Chungtai, IV Tatui, Chinese Airforce.
On Sept. 13th 1940, I-16s of this unit were the first to engage the new Japanese A6M Zero in combat.
