Focke wulf Fw 190A-4/Trop
This 1/48th Hasegawa model depicts a Fw 190-A4 Nr. 145614, of EKdo 19, based in Benghazi, Libya during late 1942. The task of the unit was to test the suitability of their aircraft to tropical conditions. Camouflage scheme consists of RLM 79 sand brown over 78 sky blue. The Hasegawa kit is simple to build and features accurate dimensions. Although not as detailed as Eduard's contemporary, when completed, it is difficult to distinguish the two apart.
Excellent build and beautiful camo, perfectly done, Rafi!
Thank you Spiros!
Wow, that looks sharp, Rafi! đź‘Ť Great job on that Butcher Bird! đź‘Ź
Thank you Gary!
Further proof that all planes look better in desert camouflage. Nice job, Rafi.
Thank you Ben.
One of my favorite aircraft and it looks great!
Thank you David!
Very nice! @blackmopane
Thank you John!
Love desert camo
Thank you George.
This WĂĽrger looks very nice in desert camouflage, Rafi @blackmopane
Well done
Thank you John.
You don't see a lot of FW190s in desert camo. Very nice, Rafi (@blackmopane).
Thank you George.
That’s one I’ve always wanted to build, Rafi. Did the kit come with the tropical filters?
I'm afraid not. Hasegawa does not have a desert dedicated Wurger and I had to use spare parts from Dragon and decals from my spare box. It is a late A-4 so, I had to do numerous modifications.
If I am not mistaken, the only desert dedicated kit is from Eduard combo kit.
Thanks for the info!
Very nice desert Wurger.
Thank you Chas.
Excellent build! I also love the desert scheme on this 190 - I may have to do something like this. I don't remember seeing a desert-schemed Wurger before.
Thank you Greg!
Beautiful model of a beautiful plane. Very well done. But I have to ask...why did you choose to not flatten those tires? They look like they are going to pop.

Thank you Nick.
It seems that there is a consensus among model makers that Fw 190s tires are never flat.
Superb đź‘Źđź‘Źđź‘Ź
