Mini Hobby Models 1/48 Mil Mi-24P Hind
A re-box of Monogram-Revell mold. This basic kit is an old-time building experience with plenty of seams to seal. The cockpit is in dire need of replacement if one decides to have the access doors and panels open. The big canopy is not quite a complementary part of the model. Nonetheless, the kit retains the overall rugged and intimidating look of the Russian helicopter that was the backbone of many air force assault units.
Originally a Monogram kit. I have the first issue in my stash, and if I ever get around to building it, I hope it turns out as well as yours!
Thank you Tom.
Good to know.
Hard to believe this is Revell's/Monogram's old soldier, Rafi (@blackmopane). As Tom (@tomhering) said above, I have been dragging the original kit around for a long time, and I hope it turns out this well when I build mine.
Thank you George.
It seems that the best way to go about this kit is not to fight the elements. In the end, it looks like the Hind never mind the oddities.
The Hind looks so mean 😠, I wouldn’t want to mess with it (the kit and the actual helicopter).
Very nice work, Rafi.
Thank you George 😊
The Hind just has an evil, sinister look to it somehow. You’ve nicely captured that look.
Thank you David.
Excellent result out of an idiosyncratic kit, Rafi!
Congratulations!
Thank you Spiros!
Your persistence resulted in a beautiful Hind, Radio @blackmopane
Well done.
Thank you John!
Nice work, Rafi. I’ve had one of those in the stash for years. I even have Angolan markings for it. Someday……
Thank you John.
It would be interesting to see the result, someday..
Excellent build of a very intimidating helo.
Thank you Dan!
That's a winner, Rafi @blackmopane! 👍 I've had the Monogram version for more than 30 years; now that I have a set of canopy masks (shout out to Kitmasx!), I might even be tempted to build it. 😉 They are a formidable beast for sure! 😃
Thank you Gary.
