Special Hobby 1/32 Westland Whirlwind F Mk.1 "Cannon Fighter"

May 9, 2024 · in Aviation · · 12 · 279

Special Hobby's Whirlwind with same company's pilot. Also some aftermarket parts used, like HGW seat belts and Special Hobby's urethane wheels. Antenna wires are Mig's 0,3 mm line.

Painted with AK Air Series 3rd generation acrylics (AK11840 RAF Dark Green, AK11841 RAF Dark Earth, AK11844 RAF Sky). Cockpit and wheel wells are painted with Vallejo Model Air color 71.305 (FS34373) Int. Grey Green

Weathering done with AK, Tamiya, Mig and Vallejo products.

Not so easy build, but not horrible either.

  5. Looks killer. Thanks for including the pilot figure which gives it a proper scale perspective. A much larger plane than I had originally envisioned when I built one in 1/48th. Terrific cockpit!
