Hellow everyone. It's been a little wile since I've posted anything. It's been a wile since I've worked on anything. I hate it when real life gets in the way!

Anyways, here is my latest completed project. The body is a resin piece from Jimmy Flintstone, with everything else scratch built or kit bashed. To tell the truth, I've never built a car model stright out of the box. I can't help itit, there's never been a car kit with all the pieces I'd use on the real thing if I were built it.

The frame, is made from rectangular Evergreen strip, with all "round tube" structure made from sprue. The V-type windshield was also made from Evergreen sheet, as was the floor. The basic motor/transmission is from one of the newer Revell Model-A kits with a parts box 2- four barrel intake with proper Carter AFB carbs. The seat, and I think the dash (i dont really remember at this point) were from the same kit as the motor. Everything else are parts box pieces. I added the most important plumbing, and engine wiring, and carbarator linkage, along with the engine and trans dopsticks. The rear nerf bar is a paper clip, and the hubcaps are modified pieces from Pegasus model accessories.

The paint is Avocado Green metallic from Model Car World Finishes, and all the rest of the paint work is Tamiya, Vallejo, and Model Master.

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, I'm really happy I actually finished a project that been on the bench for way to long. On to the next, there's a bunch fo projects started on the bench!

Happy modeling everyone.

  2. Itโ€™s not from my part of the world, Clint, but itโ€™s a fantastic model.

  3. Excellent hot rod, Clint ! Very creative project.

    • I appreciate that Jay. It's fun throwing parts box stuff together, and making parts that aren't available. You have to .ake it your own. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. @curtisshawk Nice hot rod Clint, very nice work!

  5. Very unique and cool looking hotrod, Clint @curtisshawk
    Two thumbs up.

    • Thanks John, just traditional hot rod stuff. Other that the automatic transmission, it's the kind if stuff you'd see in the late '50 early '60. I've always loved that stuff.

  6. Amazing job and really distinctive looks, Clint!
    Congratulations!

    • Thank you Spiros. Like I told John @johnb, it's traditional late '50 early '60 hot rod stuff. Nothing to crazy, my only "modern" touch is the automatic transmission. I'm just happy to have completed something. I haven't had a lot of bench time over the last few months.

  7. Fantastic! Love the eye for detail and wiring in the engine bay! Excellent work, Sir!

  8. Thank you very much, I appreciate it Gavin.
