Airfix 1/48 Gannet AS.4
Airfix' Gannet is an excellent kit. The fit of parts is very good, and the detailing is extensive with recessed and raised surface texture.My choice of colors and texture was influenced by a detailed indoors walkaround of a non restored Australian Navy Gannet.
Cockpit detailing and the optional wing fold, bomb bay doors and flaps positions add much character to the model. However, the soft plastic leaves noticeable seams in the joints. Furthermore, the wing fold mechanism is basic and lacks many visible components.
AWESOME! Your detail is amazing and so many "moving parts". In that respect, it reminds me of the Transformer toys my sons played with when they were young.
