A good representation of the naval version of the Dornier 217E armed with Hs 293 Henschel air to surface missile by Promodeler sporting RLM72 and RLM73 over RLM76 with Wellenmunster swirls.

Very nice work on this so-so kit, to make a model the opposite of "so-so". Paintwork is excellent.

I built this kit some years ago and it is still one of my favourite builds. The out-of-box cockpit is one of the best I’ve come across and far ahead of its time.
Your build is great and it is good to see that you painted it RLM 72/73. What brand paints did you use?

I mixed my paints after cross referencing the "authentic" hues of the colors and optimizing the contrast between the 72 and 73 with the 76 spirals on the model.
A real beauty - especially the swirls. I was just reading about the 217 in my Warplanes of the Luftwaffe book (recovering from knee surgery, so nothing better to do...) and decided I wanted to tackle one of these soon. They wore so many cool schemes, I may have a hard time deciding which way to go.
