Tamiya Ducati Superleggera V4 1/12th
My latest, Yep another bike 🙂
I choose the Tamiya 1/12th Ducati Superleggera V4 kit # 14140. It's one of Tamiya's newest motorcycle kits.
“Superleggera” is Italian for Super Light owing to it use of carbon fiber fairings and cowlings and titanium frame.
It is said to be the “pinnacle of Ducati's superbike capabilities”
Weighing in with a dry weight of 336 pounds and a staggering price tag of $100.000
Here is my version of the Superleggera V4, Using Tamiya's kit # 14140, Hobby Design detail kit #HD02-0448 and Falcon resin dry clutch # FSM 14.
Although not my best build I did have a good time with it…I'm getting proficient with these PE chains 😉
I could never afford such a machine and would be terrified to ride one so I will live vicariously by building a model of it. ENJOY
Please watch the YouTube video I have made to see the full progress of the build….thanks 🙂
Great looking bike, Cricket. Well done!
@gwskat Thank you Gary, could have been better 😉
Very nicely finished and photographed, Cricket, I enjoyed following your build.
@chinesegeorge Thank you George
Great looking bike, once again!
@dion-dunn Thank you Dion 🙂
Just gorgeous, Cricket. That paint job is wonderful, and as always, you've presented a very crisp model.
@pb_legend Hey stranger, thank you Andrew
Beautiful work, Cricket. It looks awesome. I've never been a sport bike fan, I'm a bobber kind of guy, but anything Ducati has always been cool to me for some reason. The realism to your builds is always outstanding.
@curtishawk Yeah I agree Ducati is the Ferrari of motorcycles … thanks for you comments
That's one beautiful mean looking machine, are you sure you didn't photograph the real thing? Just kidding, a marvellous build Cricket.
@firelockg Thank you Ian, it was a scary build because of the decals but it came out pretty well.
Another beautiful bike, Cricket @bikequeen
Really nice to have the engine captured with all the details visible.
It certainly requires a lot of modelling skills to make it look like this.
A great video of your progress as well.
@johnb thank you John, I learned about the colors and such from the 1/4 Ducati I built
Excellent job and ditto result, Cricket! Loved following your build thread. Excellent video, too!
@fiveten Thank you Spiros it was a slow burn at first but took off near the end 😉

Super end result Cricket (@bikequeen). I am al=ways amazed at the realism of your finishes. Regardless if this is your best work or not, it its a terrific looking model.
@clipper Thank you Carl 🙂
@bikequeen - Beautiful work Cricket. The detail parts add so much to the build.
@brithebuilder thanks Brian…I forgot to put in all the exhaust system parts :/
@bikequeen - That's a bummer Cricket. Hopefully you can use the parts for a different build...
@brithebuilder I got them and assembled them just forgot to put them in the video
