Atlantic Wall – Flak emplacement; 1/35
Atlantic Wall - Flak emplacement; 1/35 scale
In the 1980s, Francois Verlinden (Verlinden Productions - VP) left his mark on a whole generation of modelers. His productions are still a reference in the imagination of many today and, essentially, a guide for dioramas.
As a teenager starting out in modeling, I fervently followed the books and catalogues, saving pocket money to buy what I could, but religiously saving these treasures for when I 'had the hands' for them.
This is perhaps my greatest treasured VP. I started it in the late 1980s, and I've now taken it off the shelf and finally finished it.
I don't know if I have 'the hands' yet and I chose to keep what I had already done (essentially the transformation and some painting of figures) as a link and continuity to the past.
I hope you like it.
