Hasegawa 1/48 F-16D "Barak"
During their service in the IDF, the two seater aircraft were exposed to varying degrees of exposure to the elements. As a result, weathering patterns changed dramatically between the aircraft.
Hasegawa's Falcon kits are simple to build, yet the the building process is laborious to cover seams and emphasize the details. Kits dedicated to aircraft that served in the IDF require considerable modifications through aftermarket kits and parts made from scratch. Here, I used in addition to the tail unit and pods, resin ejection seats.
Very nice result on those F16's, Rafi @blackmopane
Great painting and weathering.
Thank you John!
Fantastic work on this beauty Rafi , you really nailed the sunbleached weathering .
Thank you Neil.
Nice work, Rafi. I’m a big fan of the Hasegawa F-16 kits.
Thank you John.
Fantastic job, Rafi! Painting and weathering are supreme!
Thank you Spiros!
Another terrific build, Rafi! Love it.
Thank you Greg!
Cool build. How do you have so many done? Are you another model building machine like Tom?
Thank you Dan.
I do not have the honors. Yet, I was fortunate to be able to keep many so that I can post them now.
Another great IDF build Rafi. Is that Red triangle indicating a wing commander's aircraft? I just received my Israeli F15 & F16 books by Amos Dor to reference the weathering and operational markings. Netz 107 is next up in my stash
Thank you Neill.
It seems that the red triangle was on all Barak aircraft of 105 Squadron.
