1960s HAWK 1/72 Me109G Upgrade
It's been a while since I've posted here. I've been busy with my photography but now I'm back to modeling. I decided to finish the Hawk kit that has been sitting on my bench for a while. I have a box full of Me109 kits and bits and used parts from the Academy, Heller, Falcon, Squadron and Hasegawa. It was fun to build. As can be seen the original has only 9 parts. I used the stand from Airfix. Paints are from Tamiya and AK.
Hawk was still in business when I got started... I remember paying 88 cents for the "chrome plated" P-47. I recently picked up a sealed SBD Dauntless off a certain auction site---I remembered getting one in Seattle one day 45+ years ago and went looking for another to put in the cabinet.
These kits will live in our fond memories of simpler days.
Great to see you back here, David!
What a lovely model!
Thank you so much Spiros @fiveten
