  1. Beautifully done Emil, and an engaging story - well done!

  2. Wonderful, Emil. Great build. Thanks for the remarkable story of Franz, a smart, very tough man determined to be the best fighter pilot he could be; unfortunately he flew for the wrong team.

  3. Great build and very interesting story, Hans Peter @messerschmitt
    Well done.

  4. That’s a great looking 109 and display you created. Von Werra should have just learned to appreciate the beauty of Canada.

  5. The movie "the One That Got Away" tells Von Werra's story - one of those good British WW2 movies from the 50s that tried to hew closely to the actual history. Stars Hardy Kruger as von Werra.

    Nice work on the model.

  6. Very nice model and great story, Hans Peter!

  7. Good looking build! Thanks for sharing.

  8. Great looking Emil, Hans Peter (@messerschmitt)
I finished reading ‘Single or Return’ a couple months ago and was planning on starting von Werras 109 very soon in 1/72nd scale.
The book is written by Fritz Wentzel and although von Werra is highlighted, his story is barely 20% of the book. But still worth reading. You need to read about half the book before you know what the title means.
