Another winner from ICM
Hello, this is my ICM 1/48 Heinkel He111-H8 Paravane cable cutter. 9/KG 55 "Greif" France, spring of 1941.
Not the easiest of builds but looks great next to my old Monogram He111. Very nice detail with alot of extras left over.
Thanks for looking,
Paul
Excellent He-112, Paul!
Thanks mate.
That's very nice. First time I have seen one with the balloon-cutter installed. Very ineresting.
Thank you very much. Yes, ICM really did a great job with this. They have the Ju88 cutter as well.
It's nice to have it in the collection.
Excellent result, Paul @paulwoodyvanacker
I can imagine getting that cable cutter in place was not an easy task.
Thanks mate.
Apparently it was much harder to fly and not very successful overall. Poor people who had to fly it. Lol.
This is outstanding, the painting and the canopy in particular.
I never knew this version existed. Are there any records of how effective this device was?
Thank you so much.
Apparently it wasn't very effective and there are photos of it on the ground and several of them forced down over England.
I haven't seen any in flight. That'd be good. Lol.
I absolutely love your He-111 - well done! What I also appreciate is the choice of version: the cable cutter makes for a great appearance and is also unusual as a concept - I really enjoy it!
Thanks very much mate.
It's a real stand out in the collection, and I always like to do something different every now and then. Great choice from ICN to do it.
you can buy one for 28 euro. Ordrred mine today. The 88 is on sale too

Thank you, I have one. Lol.
Beauty. Never seen the cutter installed before. Looks awkward and fragile
Thank you.
It was actually easy to fit. I simply attached the centre strut, then the 2 cutting pieces to it and the wings. From there I added the 4 other struts which lined up well.
Pretty sturdy once everything was attached. I love it. 😊
Very impressive work on this !
Thank you.
Excellent - I too have never seen the cutter on an He-111. Your scheme looks nice as well.
Thank you. 🙂
