Hasegawa 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4
The Bf 109G-4 model depicts the mount of Gustav Rodel. His white 4 has Gruppenkommander markings for II./JG 27. Yet, none of his 50 kills score is presented. TC indicated that by the end of 1943 all Experten followed his example.
Great looking model… paint looks especially nice !
Thank you, Jay!
The decals yellowed and were repainted.
Very nice work on this Gustav, Rafi @blackmopane
Did you repaint those decals by means of brush painting?
Thank you, John.
Brush painted the decal and added weathering to be match with the corrections.
Bravo Rafi,
I was wondering if you painted the insignia and ranking (Group Commander, I believe...)
The weathering actually looks like the plane has been out in a sandstorm, very cool.
Thank you, George.
All white areas were repainted including the ranking.
Nice 109, Rafi. I’m still a fan of many of those older Hasegawa kits.
Thank you, John.
They were ideal models; accurate, few parts and cheap.
By 1late 943, almost all the German experten were following Rodel's example. Victory markings weren't displayed on their airplanes. Look at photos, you'll see.
Nice work on the model.
Thank you, Tom.
Now, it makes sense.
Excellent Gustav, Rafi!
Love your decals repainting!
Thank you, Spiros!
Lovely 109 - I'm a fan of desert schemes!
Thank you, Greg!
