1/72 M1A2 Abrams SEP TUSK II Tiger Model
The complexity of the armor and roof-top weaponry attracted me to this kit. The fact that so much detail was packed into a 72 scale kit was also an attractive challenge. The kit has some creative engineering that minimizes the parts involved in the road wheel/tracks assemblies.
Wow...that's extraordinary detail for a kit that size. Nice work, Dennis.
72 scale - wow! Incredible job on it. I also had not seen that much stuff bristling from the topside of an Abrams before (of course, I'm not an armor aficionado...).
A tough build in 1/35, let alone this. Very nice.
Nice build on a small scale! I love the armour on this variation of the tank, really cool.
Ditto on the scale! Great work.
I echo what has been said above. This had to be a hard one to build and incorporate all of those details at this smaller scale size.
I was a former US Army tanker and spent most of my time in M-60's. But during my last few months of service, we were trading in our old M-60's and switching over to the M1A1. From what I remember seeing, yours looks spot on, even though the A2 wasn't around back then...or were the TUSK upgrades. 🙂
Looks great !
Outstanding Abrams, Dennis! I spent about 9 years in M1s, from the #15, last hand-built M1 (actually, a prototype) through the M1A1 Heavy models. Also, I was an M1A1 & M1A2 Master Gunner. Like Louis said, your model looks spot-on!
Fantastic work!
