Tamiya 1/48 De Havilland Mosquito PR Mk.IV
Hi There,
This kit was given to me by my latest trainee at work after he passed out as a thank-you. This is the first time in over 30 years that this has happened to me and I was very touched by it.
Undercoat - Ultimate Primer Grey
Paints - Colourcoats Interior Grey Green, Colourcoats PRU Blue, Tamiya Rubber and Nato Blacks and Vallejo Model Air Aluminium.
Final Coat Windsor and Newton Galeria Satin Varnish.
Aftermarket - Eduard photoetch, canopy mask set and Uschi Van Der Rosten Rigging for aerials.
As always,
Thanks for looking and all comments and criticism welcome.
Cheers,
Alistair
Good looking build Alistair.
Thank you so much
That kit is never going to be beat (if you doubt me, look at the "Mosquito-ish" Revell Mk. IV), and you have maximized the possibility of good outcome with it. Looks great!

Thanks very much.
I'ts a cracking kit and I think looks really good in PRU Blue.
Cheers,
Alistair
The Mosquito is one of my most favorite airplanes. I think I have liked it since I saw an old movie about Mosquitos in WW2 called "633 Squadron". Your build has really done the plane justice. Great job.
Hi There,
Thanks for that and I remember well the movie, in fact I introduced my Nephew to it a couple of months ago.
Cheers,
Alistair
Can see a real Mossie at the EAA museum in Oshkosh WI
Great looking Mozzie. The P.R.U. blue really sets it off.
Thanks so much. It is rather a nice colour.
I love the mozzie, and yours looks great. Nice job, very tidy.
Thanks so much
Very nice build, you made a real beautiful Mosquite.
Many Thanks
This is an excellent model Alistair!
Blue is fantastic!
such a good temptation for my unbuilt same kit.
All the best!
Hi Spiros,
Thanks so much.
Go on you know you really want to and I would like to see how it should be done.
Cheers,
Alistair
