Seafire FR.47 Airfix 1/48
Hello everyone,
Its been a while since my last post here. Here is my recently finished Seafire FR.47 with some aftermarket addons (engine and cockpit).
I rivetted the model, replaced the canopy (taurus) and did some other improvements. It is not an easy task to install all the additional parts, so i hope you like the final result.
Best regards,
Igor
Beautiful Seafire, Igor.
That engine is nicely detailed.
This double propeller technique was impressive.
Outstanding job. Bravo!
Wow! That was alot of work! Really well done!
Agreed with gents above, this is a spectacular job, Igor!
You put a lot of quality work everywhere, the final result being spotless and full of amazing details.
Excellent painting and weathering!
Well done!
Yes Igor! I’ve never seen the engine photo etch installed correctly before, anywhere! Beautifully done, perfection! Congrats
Matt
Very nice , those FAA colours always look so good
Yes, I like FAA camouflage colours too, especially '' don't shoot me'' stripes. i can't imagine late seafire without them.
Wow! Spectacular work Igor.
Fantastic, inside and out!
That looks really good.
What a build. Awesome - and the pictures are small pieces of art too. WELL DONE!
Beautiful work!
I've heard good things about Rob Taurus canopies. I just ordered two sets from the UK, one for my Ki-43, and one for my Ki-44.
Amazing work. Beautiful attention to detail.
What company does the Griffon engine?
Hello Tom, engine is part of a detail set for Seafire FR46/47 from AIRES (4338). Other parts are wing folds (not used), wheels (not used - to small) and cockpit. Whires and pipes around the engine are made from scratch. On the end, the engine is model for itself.
SUPER-NICE.
That's amazing.
Beautiful work - I especially like the paint and weathering work you achieved on this.
Absolutely superb! I remember doing this kit many many years ago and to have achieved that result from such moulding is truly impressive!
