Classic Kit: Revell 1/72 B-26 H-111 (1966)

July 15, 2021 · in Aviation · · 9 · 2K

The box art on 's early 1960s kits was top notch including this one. Most of us kids learned of Flak Bait and it's exploits from the small blurb on the instruction sheet. On this kit I did some minor updates since I had extra parts. I used the Airfix cockpit and nose section including the clear nose. The props are also Airfix. I completely rescribed the kit. So herr is the Revell with it's gorgeous cowlings.

  1. Nice work on that. Man those cowls…….I never saw this kit built. I built a Frog B-26 as a kid and an Airfix about 20 years ago.

  2. I love building old Revell and Monogram, David (@thevid), and you have done an immaculate job on this B-26. Awesome.

  3. Well done! The B-26 looks super cool.

  4. Great build, David.
Nice work on the navigation lights as well.

  5. Nothing better than putting together an oldie of a kit, especially when the result is so nice, David!

  6. Nice! When I did this kit as a kid, I only painted the undersides gray and left the rest in the OD plastic.

  7. Very nice looking B-26, great job on your job!

  8. Love the B-26 - have several of them to do, including the old Monogram snap fit to get a Midway combatant. This looks great!
