Cyber Hobby 1/72 Sea Vampire F2.0
What an absolute joy of a kit.
Some lovely slide moulded parts and great fit.
The Cockpit is for another Vampire variant but as virtually nothing can be seen, I just went with it.
Any issues were of my own making but mainly managing to break the port boom off when cleaning up a wash.
Primed with Tamiya Nato Black
Painted with ColourCoats Extra Dark Sea Grey, Sky Type S, Xtreme Metals Jet Exhaust, Tamiya Nato Black, Rubber Black and Flat Aluminium and Flat White.
Washed with Flory Dark Dirt and Citadel Nuln Oil
Finished with Windsor & Newton Satin Varnish.
A fun little build that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Thanks for looking,
Cheers,
Alistair
Another super result, Alistair! Indeed the cockpit is no issue at all, since notging but busyness can be seen under the closed canopy at this scale.
Well done!
Thanks Spiros,
That's very kind of you.
My thoughts exactly on the cockpit issue.
Cheers,
Alistair
Great little Vampire, Alistair @alistairfgauld
Nobody will notice the difference of cokpit.
Thanks so much.
It's utterly invisible in situ.
Cheers,
Alistair
What would we do without a black cockpit? Add stuff that is just expensive...
Nice little build of a seldom seen water Vampire.
Merry Christmas!
What would we do without a black cockpit?
Absolutely. Hides a multitude of sins.
Thanks so much.
Merry Christmas to you.
Cheers,
Alistair
One of my favorite airplanes in my favorite scale. You've completely captured the essence of an in-service Vampire. I continue to try for the 'used' look that you've put so well with into this build. I especially admire the wheel wells and undersides of the airframe. Thank you for sharing your photos.
Thanks very much for your very kind comment.

Alistair
Nice build of early Royal Navy jet aviation.
Thanks very much.

Alistair
Well done, Alistair. That’s one we don’t see everyday!
Thanks so much.
It's been in the stash for about a year shouting at me to get done.
Cheers,
Alistair
Very nice build, great looking Sea Vampire!

Nicely done Alistair, a different look to the Vampire.
Thank you so much
