1/35 Meng - Sherman Jumbo
I lost count on how many Shermans I've built. But, it was a true pleasure to build this kit. Good fits and well-designed.
The movable tracks are, of course, troublesome to build. But I gotta say it paid off with a more natural and better look.
I'm actually pleased to the finishing product. It illustrates as a milestone on my scale modeling journey. I'm working on a M4A3E8 from Tamiya now, stay tuned!
Main OD - Tamiya Acrylics
Weathering effects - Vallejo

This Sherman is beautifully build, Arthur @arthurko
Nice idea to put the chalk writings as well.

The writing decal is provided in the box, all I did was weathered it!
That is a great armor build Arthur! Super result with some very nice details! ?
Thank you!
Very convincing finish...thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
The result model looks good. Damn, it looks like another model kit gets put on the wish list.
Thanks!
You won't regret getting it!
Hello, Arthur! Your "Jumbo" is excellently done! @arthurko
I noticed the markings as one of the tanks of 4th Battalion, 37th Armored Tank Division, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Creighton Abrams. My first Army posting in 1978 was to A (Alpha) Company, 1st Battalion, 37th Armor (194th Armored Brigade.) Later in my career I was posted to D (Delta) Company, 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry in Fulda, (then) West Germany - as in the "Fulda Gap." My Squadron commander there was LTC John N. Abrams, the son of that famous former WWII Commander, & later Chief of Staff of the US Army.
It's a small world sometimes.
I appreciate it!
And wow that's really something!
Really fantastic weathering and attention to the small details that give a Big Result.
Thank you very much!
A great looking build!
Thank you!
Marvelous job on your Sherman Jumbo! Definitely putting this one on the wish list.
Thank you!
Spectacular build! Is the writing on the side a decal or did you scribe it yourself?
Thanks! That's a high quality decal from the box!
