352nd Fighter Group A collection of models
found on an old drive these models I don't have anymore but are a few of what I made for some of the guys in the group all are 1/48 Tamiya kits using Umbrol Enamels airbrushed with entry level £10 plastic airbrush basic on and off they got better as I learned more details between the marks and wings used other details like over spray on prop cuffs came direct from the guys memories dropped elevators on some and cam shell doors dropped at different angles as they would some details are over scale like weathering but it seemed ok at the time I even got a mention in the groups news letter at the time a proud moment for me
Very nice collection. I like that you got all the different shades of blue. There almost weren't any two the same.
Since you like the 352nd, you might want to look up Jay Stout's "Fighter Group," a history of the 352nd done back when there were guys to interview.
thanks Tom yes I know Jays book I've never did buy it but I knew he was in contact with Punchy to gain access to the guys for his content I do have something here that ultra rare ill attach a photo for you
@tcinla Tom two of my most prised books in my collection I don't think many people have these now a days the original 1944 Mr Tetleys Tenants Group issued and original 352nd group history with one for 486th which I don't think people realise was ever written I was friends with Roger Freeman before he passed and he said to me that he never knew that 486th history was printed
