Desert Stukas: Hasegawa 1/48 Ju-87B
Hasegawa's Stuka is a very nice kit. However, it requires modifications to emphasize the characteristics of the aircraft in the model. The flaps and ailerons are joined to the wings in false rods. I scratch build the connections opening the locations where the rods slide into the wings. The separation of the built in ailerons and flaps from the wings is tricky since the plastic is hard and the wing surfaces are prone to damage. I often cut myself in the process when dealing with 1/48 scale Stuka wings.
Further enhancements included main wheels without spats and engine using Aires detail kits.
The enhancements, weathering and paint camouflage look fantastic...well done, Rafi!
Thank you Joe.
What not to like on this Stuka, Rafi @blackmopane
Details, painting, all looks superb.
Looks great with the engine cover open.
Thank you John!
Two more Gems!
Thank you Gary!
What about the third? 🙂
Three beauties Rafi, and a lot of really nice work on the conversion to expose the engine. Very impressive.
Thank you Tom!
My goodness, but you're building beautiful models, Rafi @blackmopane! 🤩 In triplicate no less. Each of these would grace any display-all three together must be a true sight to see! 🙏🏻
Thank you Gary!
Rafi, your models serve as a high standard for many to seek to achieve.
Thank you Bob.

Extraordinary work on all three models Rafi.
I have no preferred choice here, all of them just stand out, very great paint work on them.
Thank you for sharing these images,
Thank you kindly.
A real treat to see these kits built up Ravi. There engaging, warm and dynamic. The photos really show the builds to good effect.
Thank you Stephen.
As expected, all three are awesome, Rafi! The extra work on the wings and the exposed engine are really second to none!
Congratulations!
Thank you Spiros!
I love the detail in the tires as if they had the weight of the beautiful bird on them. Bravo.
Thank you Rob.
The Stuka was one of the most impressive German WW2 aircraft, it must have been really scary to have been the subject of one of their attacks, and your models have captured their appearance very well.
Thank you George!
Beautiful work we've come to expect from you! That one without spats looks like it lost it's pants! Love the schemes on these, and the paintwork is marvelous.
Thank you Greg!
Congratulations, superb realization!
Thank you Paolo.
All very nice, but especially the second one with the undercarriage spats removed. Paintwork also excellent.
Thank you Paul.
German camouflaged aircraft really look striking when painted well, and yours certainly is.
Thank you John.
