1/48 Airfix Anson Mk1
Just completed my Airfix Avro Anson Mk1 6013, formerly RAF 9943. Borden Ontorio using Iliad decals.
The interior was the most enjoyable part of the build for me. I had some fit issues, but it may have been my fault. Not sure tbh.
But glad its done. ๐ค๐

That's a lotta orange/yellow. Fine build. Spectacular interior...perfect for all the see-thru canopy.

Incredible surface finish, Paul! Your interior is also very well done - are all the dials and gizmos kit decals and your steady brush hand, or did you add some aftermarket? The thin canopy and, especially, turret framing is just amazing - by hand or careful use of masks? Congratulations on completing this stunner!

It's a bit of both with the dials. The canopies were masked off with tamiya tape and then air brushed.

Excellent work, Paul. I need to build mine soon. The main reason I havenโt is I canโt choose from all the great schemes available for the Anson.
Love the yellow trainers too. Verry nice kit. Does anyone have issues with yellow acrylic? It sprays ok if you're very careful, but brushing it is a nightmare. White can be similar.
I had some problems with the yellow. Got grainy when I over sprayed. But that was sanded down and given another coat.
I'm glad it wasn't anything bigger than an Anson. Lol.
