Tamiya 1/48 A6M5/5a Zero

December 6, 2023 · in Aviation · · 25 · 299

Two of 's newer tooling A6M5 that I built. The kit is more detailed the initial tooling and still is easy to build. Unfortunately, this is the only new tool variant. Eduard then, would be the natural choice to cover highly detailed variants in one's collection.

  1. Both builds look great. Well done, Rafi!

  2. Both look superb, Rafi! Weathering rocks!

  3. Two Zeroes. The only model You can build two of and still have Zero. Zero plus Zero equals...sorry.
Those are TWO very nice looking builds Sir.

  4. Two great builds of the classic Tamiya kit, Rafi.

  5. Nice Zeros, Rafi.

  6. Your Zeros are up to the Traditional Rafi Standard of Excellence. Nice work!

Eduard is taking Tamiya's lunch money and chasing them home from school. There's no comparison between their Zeros and P-51s and Spitfires and the Tamiya alternatives, if you seriously like any of the specific types.

  7. A beautiful pair of Zekes!

  8. I can only confirm the above compliments, Rafi @blackmopane
    Beautiful detailing and excellent paintwork.

  9. Great zeros Rafi! The fading and chipping are gorgeous. Beautiful weathering. Your work is outstanding! I did a 1/32nd scale Hasegawa A6M5 a wile back, bit I think I really over did it with the weathering. I'll have to post it and get some opinions.

  10. A couple of beautifully finished Zero's, Rafi. @blackmopane

  11. Excellent work, beautiful finish.

Great and respectable work on both of these models Rafi.
The weathering is very convincing as well as the subtle fading.
