Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire IXc
Tamiya's 1/32 Spitfire (together with their P-51D and F4U) are probably the best aircraft kits ever produced in the scale.
The detailing and surface texture are amazing. Engine components details are also impressive although one has to add cables and wiring to complete the scene. Nonetheless, many of the attachment points of cables and pipes are marked on the engine accessories. However, the addition of wiring causes the engine cavity underneath the cowls to swell, thus cancelling the perfect fit of cowls to the airframe. Hence, it is up to the modeler to find creative solutions if one desires an interchangeable look of the model representing the iconic fighter.
Nice Merlin!
Thank you Maurits.

Sharp Spit, Rafi!
Thank you John.
Beautiful Spitfire! Is it my imagination, or did the crash bar on the pilot’s door change colors during the photo shoot?
Thank you David.
You are a sharp observer, David. During the photography session I thought that it would be a high time to change the incorrect red color of the crash bar.
My remark was meant to be an observation, not a criticism. You’ve done your usual beautiful work here! I just couldn’t resist. 😉
And accurately observed. Did I sound apologetic? In any case, in my past academic life learnt to take remarks, criticism, etc. face value to improve my work.
Good luck improving on the work you already are doing, that is going to be very difficult! Your work is what I aspire to.
Amazing detail work! And overall paint work is fantastic.
Thank you Greg!
