Hasegawa 1/48 A6M2-K Zero Trainer Type 11
Our eyes follow small objects and areas that are brightly colored within the field of vision. Hence, models painted in white or yellow are eye catching by comparison to drab camouflage colors.
With its spaced two cockpits, Hasegawa's Zero Trainer doubles the model attraction factor.
Definitely eye catching, Rafi @blackmopane
What is the reason that the tail section is open.
Thank you, John.
It looks like a stronger suspension to sustain tail heavy landings.
Gβday John (@johnb) and Rafi (@blackmopane),
The structure on the tail is for towing an aerial target for gunnery practice.
Good to know, Michael.
Very nice looking trainer. Oddball for the Zero family.
Thank you, Dan.
That is very cool, Rafi! π I don't believe I've ever seen a trainer of that type, and it looks great in yellow. π My very first scale model, at age 6, was the old Aurora Zero, molded in bright yellow plastic. My dad helped me glue it together with Duco household cement/glue and my grandmother sat on it when I left it in a chair. π
Thank you, Gary.
Wow, it looks like a cool model. I had a similar building experience with a Lindberg Bf 109F. I was not lucky enough, though to have my grand parents to sit on it π
π I've always been lucky! π
Excellent work I like the color it really stands out.
Thank you, Dave.
This is very cool! Not something often seen!
Thank you, Neil!
Excellent result, Rafi! An eyecatching Zero indeed!
Thank you, Spiros!
Cool looking build! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Rod.
Excellent build - and I too was intrigued by the tail wheel situation!
Thank you, Greg!
These trainer Zeroes are always interesting to see. Thanks for sharing them, Rafi.
Thank you, John.
Gβday Rafi (@blackmopane),
Two great builds. I picked ine of these up a couple of years ago and must build it.

Thank you, Michael!
