Wingnut Wings' LVG C.VI

December 9, 2024 · in Aviation · · 24 · 217

This build shows my LVG C.VI in the markings of FAA233 in the closing months of WW1. One of the earliest WnW kits, it builds up into a very nice model and I like the contrast of camouflage, lozenge and black and white panels as well as the temporary inclusion of two crew figures.

The model was completed as part of the 'Great War...' group build here - https://imodeler.com/groups/the-great-war-a-tribute-to-those-who-served/forum/topic/wingnuts-wings-lvg-c-vi/, and a video is also available here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0LRF8HiDzs - should you wish to see more of the construction process. Thanks for taking time to look in... ;-).

  6. Always love seeing this WWI camp pattern. You executed it flawlessly. Great build.

    • Hi, Matt... thank you. Yes, the camouflaged fuselage came up well, and I like the contrast with the lozenge pattern. It's a bit different from the norm, with many of this type of aircraft being left in their varnished wood finish.

  7. It's a great looking model Paul, enjoyed following the build.

  8. Nice work, Paul. I have one of those lingering half built in its box.

    • John, thanks very much. It's a fine kit with few problems, in my experience. Perhaps we can look forward to you completing yours and seeing it on these pages. I'm sure you will do a good job, too... ;-).
