One of this year's highlights was dedicating a significant portion of my work to WWII Japanese bombers and fighters—subjects I had previously avoided. However, I was captivated by their fuselage's weathered exteriors and textured surfaces.
These unique aspects encouraged me to explore further, stretching my abilities into new realms. It was a daring decision that turned into a fulfilling and transformative experience.
This exploration coincided with my progress in refining Inca-style painting techniques. This year, I developed a second version of the method, blending the precision of fixed airbrushing patterns with the fluid spontaneity of hand-painting. The result is a finish that authentically replicates the uneven textures caused by air pressure and vibrations on actual aircraft.
A standout example of this evolution is my 1/32 ki-84 Fighter, where I painstakingly hand-drew intricate details along its fuselage sides. This project is one of the most memorable achievements of my model-making journey this year.
