This is one of the nicest kits I've ever built. Went together like a dream.
Lots of fun, and yet another addition to my growing Spitfire collection. You can never have too many.
F**king Excellent! One of the nicest late model Spitfires I have seen built up in a while. Nice to see you took the path less traveled with the paint scheme. My vote for the model of the month!
Wow. Thank you. I'm with you. Lol. Seriously though, I love the colour scheme. A red band is ultra rare, so I had no choice, but to do it. π I'm doing a a French Spit Mk9 right now. Just can't get enough Spits. Lol.
Royal Auxiliary Air Force markings are not all that often seen, and this is a good one.
Imagine being able to climb into one of these on the weekend and bore holes in the sky. Whatta deal!
And they let them take part in races, which I think explains the "4" on the red band.
Hoping Airfix does a Spit/XIV/XVIII to round out my collection.
I agree. Nice company car. Lol. I hope Airfix do too, plus also a two seater, the prototype and the MkV with floats. I know you can get update etc, but a kit would be great too.
My favorite Spitfire marks! The earlier Merlin powered versions were gentleman's fighters, but those Griffon airplanes looked like they could kick some serious a--!
Lovely job Paul. Great colour scheme - something different. You're right, this is a beautiful kit; I hope Airfix is paying attention as everybody seems to want a 1/48 scale Mk XIV/XVIII to the same standard.
Very good looking Spit. I agree, Airfix did a nice job with this kit.
Thank you. π

I agree with Seamus in regard to the paint scheme...outstanding - a real eye-catcher.
Thank you. π
That paint scheme makes a good looking aircraft look even better, great build!
Thank you. It's a great scheme, I agree.
Beautiful Spit. The colourful markings add to its aesthetically pleasing looks. Well done!
Thank you. π

Nice job, Paul!
Oh yeah. π
Lovely build Paul, and smart paint job.
Well done sir.
Thank you. π
Nicely done, This is another one of those "looks fast sitting still" airplanes. I really like it. Good job.
Thank you. π
Your Spitfire production line has turned a new, lovely Spit out. Very nice !
Love the scheme π
Thank you. π I have a French Mk ix being built right now. Then it's onto something different. An Arado Ar 196 on it's catapult. π
Paul,
Agreeing with all that has been said, I add my compliments to the superb job you did on this model.
Thank you very much Frank. Much appreciated.
Always a favourite of mine as well.
Excellent job on this kit.
Thanks mate. π

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the paint scheme ... as does everyone else, it seems! You have real talent, Paul!
